This year marks Fiona Cairns 40th anniversary and to celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re taking on an ambitious challenge: raising £40,000 for two extraordinary charities, Rainbows and Refettorio Felix, both of which are very close to our hearts.

Over the past four decades, we’ve been privileged to be part of so many special moments and celebrations. Now, we want to use our anniversary year as an opportunity to give something meaningful back to our communities.

Throughout the year, our team will be taking part in a series of fundraising events, challenges and activities, some inspiring, some exhausting and some just wonderfully ridiculous!

From skydives and sponsored walks to volunteering days and charity cake stalls, every challenge is helping us move closer to our £40,000 goal.

Rainbow Hospice for Children and Young People

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People provides specialist care and support to babies, children, and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions. Supporting families across the region, they offer compassion, comfort, and expert care, helping create precious moments when they matter most.

Refettorio Felix

Refettorio Felix is a London-based drop-in centre and community kitchen tackling homelessness, food poverty and social isolation. Through its open-door policy, it welcomes anyone facing challenges such as homelessness, loneliness, substance abuse or mental health difficulties. Every weekday, 70 guests are served a three-course meal and given access to support services and creative workshops, helping them feel supported, connected and valued.

The Challenges

As a team, we've put together an exciting programme of fundraising challenges and activities to mark our 40th anniversary, with something for everyone to get involved in. It's a brilliant opportunity for us to come together, have fun, and make a real difference.

  • Take on a skydive

    March - May

    Two brave FC team members will take on a thrilling skydive from 10,000 feet.

  • FC ‘It’s A Knockout’ Team

     Tuesday 14th July 5-8:30pm

    A team of 10 will take on inflatable challenges, foam, water, and plenty of laughs at Rainbow’s It’s A Knockout event.

  • Get your steps in this June

    Year-round

    Together we’ll aim to walk, jog, and run 4,000 miles, the distance from London to Delhi.

  • Walk in Bradgate Park

    Saturday 6th June 9:45am

    Join us for a 5-mile walk and picnic in Bradgate Park on Saturday 6th June. Friends and family welcome!

  • Volunteer with FareShare

    Year-round

    A team of 10 will volunteer with FareShare, helping support the UK’s fight against hunger and food waste.

  • Charity Cake Stalls

    Year-round

    We’ll be hosting special charity cake stalls throughout the year to help raise funds for our chosen charities.
